Frontiers of Engineering Management   Pages 96-106 doi: 10.1007/s42524-022-0235-z

Abstract: Building an effective resilient supply chain system (RSCS) is critical and necessary to reduce the riskof supply chain disruptions in unexpected scenarios such as COVID-19 pandemic and trade wars.To overcome the impact of insufficient raw material supply on the supply chain in mass disruption scenariosof the change impact process is presented to evaluate the resilience of both the product and supply chain

Production of rhamnolipids-producing enzymes of

Kata Kiss,Wei Ting Ng,Qingxin Li

Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2017, Volume 11, Issue 1,   Pages 133-138 doi: 10.1007/s11705-017-1637-z

Abstract: Rhamnolipids are a class of biosurfactants that have a great potential to be used in industries. Five proteins/enzymes, namely RhlA, RhlB, RhlC, RhlG and RhlI, are critical for the production of rhamnolipids in . Four of the 5 proteins except RhlC were successfully over-expressed in and three of them (RhlA, RhlB and RhlI) were purified and obtained in milligram quantities. The purified proteins were shown to be folded in solution. Homology models were built for RhlA, RhlB and RhlI. These results lay a basis for further structural and functional characterization of these proteins to favor the construction of super strains for rhamnolipids production.

How do digital technologies improve supply chain resilience in the COVID-19 pandemic?

Frontiers of Engineering Management   Pages 39-50 doi: 10.1007/s42524-022-0230-4

Abstract: Digital technologies (DTs) can assist businesses in coping with supply chain (SC) disruptions causedHowever, the current knowledge of the relationship between DTs and supply chain resilience (SCR) is insufficientThe empirical results reveal that digital supply chain platforms (DSCPs), as well as supply chain traceability(SCT) and supply chain agility (SCA), fully mediate the favorable association between DTs and SCR.
